# Sales

The Sales module manages the customer-facing side of your business — from preparing price proposals through to confirmed orders. It provides structured workflows that ensure quotations are reviewed, approved, and converted into actionable orders with a clear audit trail.

## Key Features

- **Sales Quotations** — Create detailed price proposals for clients, manage the negotiation lifecycle (send, accept, reject, revise), and convert accepted quotations into sales orders.
- **Sales Orders** — Manage confirmed orders from clients through the full order-to-fulfillment lifecycle, including internal approval workflows, delivery tracking, and order closure.
- **Delivery Notes** — Track the physical dispatch of goods from your warehouse to clients, managing the picking, packing, shipping, and delivery confirmation process.
- **Sales Invoices** — Bill delivered orders, track what each client owes (paid, partially paid, overdue), and record incoming payments against each invoice.
- **Credit Notes** — Reduce what a client owes after returns, pricing errors, or damaged goods; an issued credit is applied directly against its invoice's balance.

Every one of these can be produced as a PDF in English, French or Arabic —
see **[Printing and Sharing Documents](../getting-started/printing-documents.html)**.

## Sales Workflow

A typical sales workflow follows these steps:

1. A sales team member creates a **sales quotation** listing the items and prices offered to a client.
2. The quotation is reviewed internally, then **sent to the client** for consideration.
3. The client reviews the proposal and either **accepts**, **requests changes** (triggering a revision), or **rejects** it.
4. Once accepted, the quotation is **converted into a sales order**, which becomes a binding commitment.
5. The sales order is **submitted for approval** if required (credit check, large-value authorization, etc.).
6. After approval, the order is **confirmed** with the client and moves to **fulfillment** — goods are picked, packed, and shipped from the warehouse.
7. Shipped quantities are **invoiced** — the invoice tracks what the client owes until it is fully paid (or adjusted with a credit note).
