The command palette lets you quickly navigate to any page in Beelocity — and create documents — without clicking through menus. Because the sidebar shows one module at a time, the palette is the fastest way to hop across modules or reach pages that are not listed in the sidebar at all, such as Settings and the access-control screens it hosts.
Opening the Command Palette
There are three ways to open it:
- Keyboard shortcut — press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac).
- Sidebar search field — click the “Search…” field at the top of the sidebar.
- Header search button — click the magnifying glass in the top-right header bar. This one is always available, even on a phone with the sidebar closed.
Using the Command Palette
When the palette opens you will see a search field at the top.
- Empty search — before you type anything, the palette shows your most recently visited pages, then the module overview pages, then the actions available to you, and finally the full page list grouped by module.
- Typing a search — as you type, results are filtered using fuzzy matching. You do not need to type the exact page name — partial words and abbreviations work. For example, typing “fam” will match “Product Families.”
Every result shows its full location — for example Inventory › Setup › Price Lists — so the palette also tells you where a page lives in the sidebar’s groups.
Actions
The palette can do things, not just go places. Type “new” (or the document name) to see actions like New sales order, New purchase requisition, New work request or New receipt or payment — selecting one opens a blank form for that document. Switch Organization and Go to Settings are there too. You only see the actions your permissions allow.
Records
The palette also searches your actual data, not just pages. Type two or more characters — a partner’s name, a product name, a document number like SO-2026-000123 or an asset code — and a Records section appears below the page results with live matches: partners, products, assets, POS registers, POS sessions and tickets (by their printed numbers), sales orders, sales invoices, purchase orders, work orders, and maintenance work orders. Each hit shows what it is and its code (for example Partner · ACME-01); selecting one jumps straight to that record’s page.
Records respect your permissions: you only see hits of the types whose pages you can open, and any row access rules that narrow your view apply here exactly as they do on the lists — a record hidden from you does not surface just because you searched for it. The search runs as you pause typing, so there is no separate button to press.
Navigating Results
- Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight a result.
- Press Enter to open the highlighted result.
- Press Esc or click outside the palette to close it without navigating.
The footer of the palette reminds you of these keys.
Which Pages Are Available?
The command palette includes every page you have permission to access. If your role does not grant access to a page, it will not appear in the results.
This includes every sidebar page as well as pages that are only reachable through the palette or the avatar menu: Settings, and every access control screen it hosts — Roles, Members, Invitations, Policies, Approval Workflows, Row Access, Field Visibility, Field Editability, Hierarchy, User Assignments, Delegations, and the Audit Log.
