The Treasury module manages your organization’s money — the bank, cash, postal (CCP), and electronic-wallet accounts you hold, and the balances on each of them. It gives you one place to see how much cash you have, in which accounts, and in which currencies.
Key Features
- Bank & Cash Accounts — Register every fund-holding facility your organization uses: bank current accounts, petty-cash registers, Algérie Poste CCP accounts, and electronic wallets. Each account tracks its own running balance, currency, bank details (RIB, IBAN, SWIFT), and lifecycle status.
- The Cash Ledger — A complete, date-ordered record of every confirmed money movement across all your accounts, with a running balance on each row. It is the single source of truth behind every balance, and where you post corrections.
- Payment Methods — Your catalog of “ways money moves” — cash, bank transfer, cheque, bill of exchange, card, CCP mandate, and so on. Each receipt and payment picks one, and the method decides how that money behaves.
- Receipts & Payments — Record money received from customers and paid to suppliers, settle a receipt against several invoices at once (with discounts and on-account credit), and confirm it to post the cash and update the invoices automatically.
- Internal Transfers — Move money between your own accounts — a bank-to-bank sweep, a cash withdrawal into the till, or topping up a CCP — with the in-transit gap handled for you and an optional bank fee.
- Cheques & Bills of Exchange — Track the negotiable instruments your business uses on paper: cheques, bills of exchange (bills of exchange), and promissory notes, whether you received them from a customer or issued them to a supplier. Lodge received instruments with the bank, follow them to clearing, and handle bounces, endorsements, and stop-payments.
- Deposit Slips — Assemble batches of received cheques and bills of exchange into a deposit slip (deposit slip), submit it to the bank for collection or discount, and credit it when the bank confirms which instruments were paid.
- Bank Reconciliation — Import each bank statement and match its lines against your cash ledger — automatically or by hand — until the bank’s closing balance agrees with your own to the dinar, then lock the period.
- Cash Position & Forecast — See how much cash you hold right now, broken down by account and by currency, and project expected money in and out over a horizon you choose so you can spot a cash shortfall before it happens.
- Recurring Cash Items — Record regular, predictable movements that aren’t tied to an invoice or cheque — payroll, rent, loan instalments — so the forecast can project them automatically.
- Treasury Reports — See your collections, instrument, and reconciliation health at a glance: how fast customers pay (DSO), the age of what you’re owed, when cheques and bills of exchange mature, how quickly deposits clear, how much cash is sitting unallocated, and how completely your books are reconciled.
How Balances Work
You never type an account’s balance in by hand. When you first add an account, you record its opening balance — the amount it already held that day — and Beelocity uses it as the account’s starting point. From then on, every receipt, payment, and transfer you record updates the balance automatically, so what you see always reflects your recorded movements. Every one of those movements is recorded as a row in the Cash Ledger.
Navigation
Open Treasury in the sidebar. The module opens on what needs doing (below), and the sidebar lists the work:
- Receipts & Payments — record and confirm money received and paid, and allocate receipts to invoices.
- Internal Transfers — move money between your own treasury accounts.
- Cheques — one page with two tabs: Cheques & Bills of Exchange, to follow received and issued cheques, bills of exchange and promissory notes through their lifecycle, and Deposit Slips, to assemble and credit the slips you lodge with the bank.
- Bank Reconciliation — import bank statements and reconcile their lines against the cash ledger, then lock each period.
- Cash Ledger — every confirmed money movement across all accounts.
- Cash forecast — one page with three tabs: Cash Position & Forecast, your live position and a forecast of money coming in and going out; Recurring Cash Items, the repeating movements that feed it; and Treasury Reports, the collection, instrument and reconciliation figures computed live from your treasury data.
Setup, at the end of the list, holds your accounts and the ways money moves.
See what needs doing
Opening Treasury shows the work waiting for somebody, in seven lists. Each row opens the record where the job is done, and the lists are read again every time you open the page.
| List | What it shows | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Cheques to deposit | the cheques you received and still hold, the soonest due first; a post-dated cheque is listed at once, since a cheque is payable when it is presented | open the cheque and Remit it on a deposit slip |
| Cheques maturing soon | the cheques you received, in hand or lodged with the bank, that fall due in the coming week, and those past their date and still unpaid, which read days past due | make sure they are lodged; chase the drawer of one that is past due |
| Deposit slips not credited | the slips handed in to the bank that nobody has credited, the oldest first | once the bank has paid them, open the slip and Credit the slip |
| Statements to reconcile | the bank statements not yet reconciled, including those whose lines you have started matching | open the statement, match its lines and move it to Reconciled |
| Awaiting approval | the receipts and payments an approval workflow holds, the oldest first | the approver decides on the record’s Approvals tab |
| Approved, to confirm | the approved receipts and payments nobody has confirmed yet | open it and move it to Confirmed, which posts the money |
| Recurring items due | the rent, instalments and other recurring items that fall due in the next three days, on the date the forecast expects them | pay or collect it, then Mark occurrence settled on the item |
Each list shows five rows and how many there are in all, and View all opens the whole list at the same selection. Cheques maturing soon and Recurring items due have none: which cheques fall due is decided by the same rule as the daily notice, and an item’s due date is worked out from its schedule, so neither list can be narrowed to them. Above the lists, buttons start the week’s usual documents: New receipt or payment and New internal transfer. The cash and cheque figures sit above the buttons, and Cheques maturing soon among them counts exactly the cheques its list shows. You see only the lists and the buttons your role lets you open.
Set up the module
Setup is one page for what you set once and come back to when an account opens or closes. It has a tab for each:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Accounts | your bank accounts, cash boxes, CCP accounts and e-wallets — see Bank & Cash Accounts |
| Payment Methods | the ways your organization receives and pays money — see Payment Methods |
| Currencies | the currencies you hold and trade in, and their exchange rates — see Currencies |
Every module reads the currencies, and they are kept here, beside the accounts that hold them. Each tab keeps the address its list always had, so a bookmark still opens it. You see only the tabs your role lets you open, and with none of them Setup is not in your sidebar.
