Beelocity groups everything you work with into business modules — Sales, Procurement, Business Partners, Inventory, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Treasury. The sidebar, the module overview pages and the command palette are the three ways to move between them.
The sidebar
The sidebar shows one level at a time, so it never becomes a wall of links.
The module list. When you are on the main dashboard (or any general page), the sidebar shows your general pages — Dashboard, Inbox (with your unread count on it) and Organizations — with the list of business modules below them. Only modules you have access to appear: if your role grants no Treasury permissions, there is no Treasury entry.
Inside a module. Clicking a module does two things at once: it opens that module’s overview page and swaps the sidebar to the module’s own page list, headed by the module’s name. The first item, Dashboard, brings you back to that landing page at any time. Every other page sits under a small heading that mirrors the business flow — for example Sales groups its pages under Orders, Delivery and Invoicing, and Inventory under Catalog, Stock, Movements, Warehousing and Setup. These headings are fixed labels, not buttons; every page is always one click away.
Going back. The back arrow beside the module name at the top of the list returns you to the module list without leaving the page you are on. The module you are currently in stays highlighted so you always know where you are.
The sidebar follows you. However you arrive on a page — a bookmark, a link a colleague sent, a search result, a page refresh — the sidebar always opens the panel of the module that owns that page and highlights it. You never land somewhere with the navigation pointing elsewhere.
On phones and small screens the sidebar slides over the page; it closes by itself after you pick a destination.
Module overview pages
Every module has an overview page — the page a module click lands on. It shows:
- Headline numbers for the module, where they exist — open sales orders, overdue purchase orders, cash position, maintenance reliability, and so on. These are the same cards as on the dashboard, and the pin button copies any of them to your dashboard Overview tab.
- All the module’s pages as cards, grouped the same way as the sidebar, so it doubles as a map of the module.
Like everywhere else in Beelocity, the ⓘ button in the corner opens a panel beside the page — the page narrows to make room — that explains what the module covers and defines the terms it uses. Press ⓘ again, or Esc, to close it; on a phone it slides up from the bottom instead, with its own ×.
Jumping anywhere with the command palette
The fastest way to move around is the command palette — press Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on Mac), type a few letters and press Enter. Every result shows its full location (for example Inventory › Setup › Price Lists), so the palette also tells you where a page lives in the sidebar. It can create documents directly too — type “new” to see the actions your permissions allow.
Where you are
The bar across the top always names the page you are on, and shows the one above it: the module for a list (Sales › Sales Orders), the list for a record (Sales Orders › SO-2026-000014). Click that name, or the ↑ arrow beside it, to go up one level. It is deliberately short — one step, not the whole path — because the sidebar already shows which module you are in, and the palette shows a page’s full location when you search for it. On a phone the bar keeps the arrow and the page name and drops the rest.
While a page is on its way
Beelocity fetches each page the first time you open it, so the very first visit to a screen may take a moment. A thin line runs across the top of the window while it arrives; the rest of the app stays where it is, and the page opens the moment it is ready. Going back to it later is instant.
Once in a while a page will say it could not be loaded, with a Refresh button. That normally means Beelocity was updated while your tab was open, so the version your tab is holding no longer matches what the server has. Refreshing loads the new one, and nothing you have saved is affected.
Once you are on a page
Most destinations are a list — of products, orders, partners or assets. Working with Lists covers searching, sorting, setting the column widths and opening a row, all of which work the same on every one of them.
Where the rest lives
- Settings and access control are not in the sidebar — open them from your avatar menu in the top-right corner, or search for them in the palette.
- Switching organizations happens from the avatar menu or the Organizations page.
